App virtualization has been around for a long time already. But now we see multiple startups providing simplicity in publishing your own executable Windows application over the net. Skyihgh went for a test and it works!

First look at how annotation works on real-time playing 360 video and Oculus DK2. This setup is very lightweight arrangement as the complex 3D asset is already abstracted into 360 video stream and all annotation is pushed to Skyhigh server over the internet as compressed snapshots.

Back in 1999 taxis were driven under limited driver license pool. At rush peaks getting one could mean an hour or so standing out in -25 Celsius degrees (equals to -13 Fahrenheit) before getting a car. I kept dreaming of a community driven 'anyone is a taxi when demand rises' service on my augmented vision in a city full of cars, all else augmented as well.

Back in 1999 people sometimes woke up in random places, not remembering how they got there. For these particular rare cases I kept dreaming of a low brain power consuming voice command driven solution on trendy enough augmented eye glasses.

Back in 1999 nobody had complete combination of wearable augmented set of computer gear. Mark Weiser had coined the phrase of "ubiquitous computing" already 10 years earlier. I kept dreaming of clothing embedded solution.

Back in 1999 we already had infrared vision. It was an obvious case for any future vision system. This video was a mere exercise of using Adobe After Effects to do some tricks on video. I kept dreaming of becoming better in post skills.

Back in 1999 shaving was done manually. The challenge was how to do it consistently enough. Depending on your facial hair design the task was between easy and very hard. I kept dreaming of a perfect solution.

Back in 1999 bread was cheap. Augmented Reality will eventually get everywhere. Here the idea was about getting complete guidance on your caloric consumption. I kept dreaming of staying fit forever.

Back in 1999 architects (some) were still using stencils to do lettering by ink on man made drawings while some had adopted the bleeding edge of computer aided design, the CAD. We kept dreaming fully visualized simulations of architectural designs to be explored in 1:1 scale in real-time.

Back in 1999 wrist computers as we know them today were not existing and neither linked to augmented vision. Our data was buried deep in magnetic media. There were cathode ray tubes where electron beams heated the phosphorescent screen to make our data visible. We kept dreaming of easier ways to see and interact our data.

Back in 1999 I kept dreaming of technology releasing us of the pain of computer mouses without laser tracking. There used to be a rubber coated ball inside the mouse to suck dirt and grease of your desktop until malfunction came. Dreaming of easier ways to interact with 3D worlds.
